Blinman Jamboree 2009

Easter long weekend - 10th to 13th April 2009

Blinman is located approximately 500km north of Adelaide in the heart of the Flinders Ranges. It was once a thriving copper mining town (1860-1908), its atmosphere is unspoilt by time with historic buildings which include the Blinman Hotel (1869) and the Police Station (1874). Surrounded by gorges and breathtaking views, its the perfect spot for a four wheel drive adventure.

Since 1994 the Land Rover Register of South Australia has organised an annual gathering at Blinman for Land Rover enthusiasts. The Jamboree offers a weekend of events involving Land Rovers and their owners.

Come along and experience the rugged beauty of the Flinders Ranges and celebrate the legend that is Land Rover. This fantastic three day event is packed full of Land Rover activities that are sure to excite and entertain!

The Blinman Land Rover Jamboree celebrates its 16th year in 2009 and we hope the town of Blinman will once again come alive with hundreds of people from all over Australia.

The 2009 event will see the continuation of the Rock Crawl, Motorkhana, Best of Breed and tag along tours, all of which have proved to be crowd favourites. The Saturday night dinner dance will once again be held in the main street with John O’Dea providing the entertainment. A BBQ dinner will be served free of charge to registered participants.

This year, there will be a convoy of Series vehicles making its way to Blinman. If you are interested in joining this convoy with your Series Land Rover, download, fill out, and return your invitation that is available above.
