September General Meeting

Come and join us for the untimate trip report, a 34-minute home movie of a Series 1 Land Rover camping trip to Central Australia in the late 1950s.

The movie was originally shot in 8mm with sound, music and commentary added later.  Ray Gordon was the photographer and Wilf Roediger gave the commentary.  They were two farmers from Ungarra, inland from Tumby Bay on the Eyre Peninsula.

While out from Alice Springs they met up with Mr and Mrs Reg Wingard, from Port Lincoln, and also in a Series 1 Land Rover.  The two vehicles returned home together via the Flinders Ranges.

We will have the movie at the start of the meeting same as with guest speakers and then follow in with the usual meeting business.
